Overdue for some pictures

 Katie has started showing her personality a little more. She likes to smile and is very curious.  she enjoys watching Dad eat and likes to watch the tv if it is on (we usually turn it off when she tries to watch though)  this picture is response to daddy asking where all of her smiles were.

 Usually we are all smiles in the morning but we had a hard time waking up on thanksgiving. 

 she is unsure how she feels about her high chair. ( she likes it more now.)

We had so much fun at grandmas at Christmas. everyone was very happy to see Katie. this is also the best mohawk we ever had. Now her hair is so long that it just folds over if we try.

 Katie got a big playmat for Christmas that has all kinds of textures and colors. she does tummy time on it because it is big enough to stretch out and roll around on.

 Katie also has a toy mat (she is kind of spoiled) her favorite toy right now is Mr. Turtle because he has squishy feet and a big mirror on his tummy.

 Even though we still aren't going to church (Dr. said not to risk it until after flu season) we like to get dressed up for Sundays.  this is one of Katie's favorite dresses.

Katie was just too big to lay down in her basket for her 4 month pictures, but she was pretty happy to sit up.

 Four months means more shots.  Katie barely cried at all until it was time to take the band-aids off

 Katie loves her fingers. Just those two though.

The picture formatted weird.  Katie loved her first time eating rice cereal. She didn't get very much in her mouth, but she was very happy to be included.

Catching up

Well the blog has slowed down since daddy went back to work, but there are so many fun pictures of Katie that we have to share.

 she is always really sleepy.  lately though she has been waking up for hours at a time.  so that is fun

 getting so long we hardly fit in our pj's anymore

well we have now been home from the hospital for a whole week.  Cassie and Katie are doing well, both are tired but happy.

 daddy stole a picture during the photoshoot.  there will be a lot more of these soon when they are all edited and look professional

quick update

so, sorry this post is a day late, but we have had a lot of adventures.  Katie had lots of fun for tummy time and she is doing great.

Sorry for the later post today, but I spent the afternoon getting some chores done and taking a little nap.  Katie is doing great today, she has been smiling a lot in her sleep (but not when daddy has his camera ready) and spending a little more time awake today.

 wasn't enjoying being in her crib this morning. she needs a little tough love to get used to sleeping out of our arms

 she had lots of fun in tummy time today.  she probably spent 5 minutes trying to turn over, and then  got frustrated and gave up

 she liked looking around the living room quite a bit

 she is starting to find her fingers more and more often.

check up day

today we went in for our two day check up.  the doctor said she is doing good, she has already gained an ounce since leaving the hospital (which is guess is good).  we have had a long nap today because we had a long morning at the doctor.  the pictures are a little out of order but they are still good.

 daddy finally got a little smile.  it was when he was singing, but i think she just smiled to make daddy stop

 tried out one of our swings.  we got another one today that is more permanent so this one is going to be for moving around.

 just before daddy went to bed last night, katie decided to open her eyes for a while.
